Usually our customers can choose two different kinds of battery for their equipment: Maintenance-free battery or Water storage battery. The first like the Chaowei battery which is made in China, the second like the Trojan battery Made in US.
Let us talk about the water storage battery today.
The two key point of water storage battery maintenance of scissor lift is that:
Add water
(1) We should add distilled water and eionized water into the battery on a regular basis. The frequency of water addition depends on the battery's purpose and operating temperature.
(2)Please check the battery every two weeks to ensure the frequency of water addition. Usually,
the longer the battery is used, the more water needs to be added.
(3)Please charge the battery fully before adding water. If the plate is exposed, only add water to the battery that has been discharged or partially charged. In this case, only add water just below the plate, then charge the battery and continue with the following steps of adding water.
(4)Remove the vent cap and put it upside down to prevent dust from entering the lower side of the vent cap. Check the liquid level of the electrolyte. If the liquid level of the electrolyte is much higher than that of the plate, it is unnecessary to add distilled water or eionized water.
(5)For standard batteries, add water to 3mm below the exhaust well and reattach the vent cap to the battery.
2.Charge the battery
(1)This device charger is automatic and preprogrammed, without user intervention in the charging process.
(2)We should charge the battery fully each time after using the machine.
(3)Lead-acid batteries have no memory effect, so they do not need to discharge completely before recharging.
(4)Please check the liquid level of the electrolyte to ensure that the positive and negative plates are submerged by water before charging.
(5)Before charging, check that all ventilation caps are properly attached to the battery.
(6)Charge only in well-ventilated areas.
(7)Gas emissions (bubbling) occur near the end of battery charging to ensure that the electrolyte is well mixed.
(8)Avoid charging at temperatures above 49 degrees Celsius.
